Dan Ben-Asher, ’70 MA-IR, retired in 2003 at the age of 57. Since then, he’s been spending some time traveling the world with his wife. He’s toured portions of “virtually all the continents” and is still interested in seeing and experiencing more. “Regarding our travels,” he says, “we just got back from a delightful paddleboat and steamboat cruise on the Lower Mississippi from Memphis to New Orleans.” Now he is planning a trip this fall in the northwestern part of Italy, including the Italian Riviera, Lake Como, Cinque Terre, and Milan. “We’ll be cruising past the lakeside villa that George Clooney and his new wife, Amal, own but we haven’t been invited yet to join them and enjoy the view with olives and wine,” he says. Dan also enjoys his time in New Jersey with his three young grandchildren.
