Each academic year the Center for Integrative Leadership invites a small number of highly accomplished leaders from the private sector, academia, government and the non-profit sector to be Executive Leadership Fellows. Fellows form an Executive Strategy Council for the Center, helping the Center to chart its strategic direction and continuously evaluate its role with other institutions in furthering boundary-crossing work to address significant and solvable societal challenges.
Scott Peterson, MA-IR ’83, was recently named the 2015-2016 Executive Leadership Fellow. He is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer of The Schwan Food Company, where he leads the human resources, corporate communications and public relations functions. An active member of the Minnesota business and non-profit communities, Peterson currently serves as co-chair of Minnesota’s Itasca Workforce Alignment Initiative to address the skills gap in the state. During his Executive Leadership Fellowship, Peterson will be working on collaboratively with University faculty and students to develop sustainable and actionable strategies to identify and address Minnesota’s future workforce needs.
