Assistant Professor Aaron Sojourner’s research is featured on a bulletin board inside the Carlson School. It can be viewed on the second floor near the elevators.
The bulletin board highlights his research article, “Impacts of Unionization on Quality and Productivity: Regression Discontinuity Evidence from Nursing Homes,” co-authored by Sojourner and his co-authors, Frandsen, Brigham R., Town, Robert J., Grabowski, David C., Chen, Min M, and published in the ILR Review (2015).
Sojourner is quoted as saying, “We didn’t see any evidence of the horror stories you often hear about unions. Our findings actually point to the conclusion that unionization leads to increased labor productivity – or at least that it does not lead to reduced labor productivity.”
